About Us

Alexander Aged Care is a Boutique Not for Profit Armenian community-based organisation that is invested in enriching your life while you are living with us.

We see ourselves as an extension of your family providing an intimate sense of belonging and human connection as our dedicated staff endeavour to accommodate your individual needs and requests. The foundation and bedrock of our existence and mission has been motivated by genuine care and not revenue as we enter our fourth decade of operations.

We are managed by a Board of long serving representatives of the wider Armenian Community. This Board ensures that high standards of governance and care are meticulously established and that government accreditation requirements are always exceeded.

Our Values

At Alexander our Armenian culture emphasises the importance and the value of our community elders. This respect for the elderly translates directly into the philosophy of care and attitudes of the directors, management and staff. At Alexander, we are inclusive and welcome people of all backgrounds and faiths. Our Armenian heritage brings with it a rich spiritual and cultural joy for you all to be a part of.

Our People

Our model of putting people first over profits allows us to provide exceptional 24 hour clinical and residential care with our staff ratios consistently being higher than the industry average. This translates to more contact with residents to ensure the best clinical, recreational and allied health intervention and care contributing to your enhanced health, longevity, pleasure and comfort. Any surplus revenue is reinvested into our facility to allow us to focus on continuous quality improvement. The benefactor is you, our resident.

Our Activities Coordinators are one of our gifts to the residents. They breathe life into the facility to offer our residents the best life possible in their later years. Families often comment on the quality of life we afford their loved ones and how giving of their time and energy our Activities Coordinators are to those they serve.
